I'm a professional mom, with a photography business on the side. 

 

I'm not into photography to create a product but because I enjoy the process.  I love to collaborate on ideas for props, locations, and poses before a shoot.  I love the creative hours of post-processing, where the raw images become polished, and collected.  And I love handing over the finished product and knowing it is the best I have to offer.

 

I'm ready to approach portrait photography as an extreme sport: bring on your unusual ideas, your difficult kids, your wriggly pets, and I'll bring my best game.  I've been there.  My son who is autistic is--in all fairness--the cutest kid on earth with the cutest little personality.  I'm always wanting to get his cute litle picture, but he doesn't make it easy for me.  He's required the best of me as a person and as a photographer.  We've had our family pictures done on the swings at the park, and we've had them done eating ice cream sundaes; we got awesome smiles from all the kids.  I've brought my son a bouquet of balloons, I've taken him to climb trees; and we got individual portraits that represented his individuality.
